  1. 1Call between 8:30 AM and 12:00 noon for same-day appointments.
  2. 2Only clients are permitted in the clinic, as well as your interpreter if you need one.
  3. 3Bring your health card for OHIP coverage.
  4. 4Call to advise if running late for a booked appointment.
  5. 5Do not eat anything 6 hours prior to your procedure.
  6. 6You may drink clear fluids (water, tea, pop) up until 2 hours prior to the procedure.
  7. 7Take all prescription medications as ordered with sips of water.
  8. 8Bring a comfortable, loose-fitting gown to wear during the procedure.
  9. 9Do not drive after your appointment and for the next 24 hours; arrange for someone to drive you or take public transportation/taxi.
  10. 10You must be able to communicate in English; if not fluent, bring a translator.
  11. 11Be prepared to wait at the clinic if necessary; bring something to entertain yourself.
  12. 12Do not put a tampon or any other object in your vagina for one week after the procedure.
  13. 13Do not have sex for one week after the procedure.
  14. 14For medical abortion, you will need to have a free day (no work or childcare) for the miscarriage.
  15. 15For medical abortion, you will need to have access to emergency services in case of heavy bleeding.
