Patient Instructions
  1. 1If you think you may have measles or if any of the following apply — traveled outside of Canada in the past 30 days, have fever, cough, runny nose, red/watery eyes, or a rash in the past 10 days, and have not received two (2) doses of the measles vaccine — DO NOT enter the hospital. Please call 613-525-2222 X4120 for instructions on what to do next.
  2. 2For emergency check-in, bring proof of valid medical insurance (OHIP Card) and/or other insurance, a list of all current medications (including over-the-counter) and their containers, and any supplementary health records.
  3. 3Notify a nurse if your condition worsens while waiting in the Emergency Department.
  4. 4Inform the triage nurse of any allergies or medications you are taking.
  5. 5Discuss and complete an Advance Directive with your physician or nurse.
