  6. 6Brush and floss gently on the first day.
  7. 7Bite on gauze for 60 minutes after extraction procedure.
  8. 8No spitting, vigorous rinsing, or sucking/using a straw for 1 week post extraction.
  9. 9No smoking, alcohol, or heavy lifting after extraction.
  10. 10Follow pain management instructions after extraction.
  11. 11Warm salt water rinses starting the day after extraction procedure.
  12. 12Brush normally except at the site of the extraction, use extra care while brushing in that area.
  13. 13For the first 24 hours after extraction, apply ice 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off to reduce swelling.
