  1. 1All new patients must be referred by a physician.
  2. 2Be well rested and always eat a light meal before your treatment.
  3. 3Cancel your appointments if you are ill or are extremely tired.
  4. 4Avoid smoking and drinking coffee prior to treatments.
  5. 5Eat well or consider taking vitamins to ensure you are nutritionally fit.
  6. 6Remember stress management!
  7. 7Do not swim for two days after injections.
  8. 8Do not go into public swimming pools, hot tubs or lakes for 3-5 days after each treatment.
  9. 9Showering the day of or the next day is fine.
  10. 10Anti-inflammatory drugs should not be taken during the treatment, at least 5 days but preferably for two weeks before and after each treatment.
  11. 11A light meal and plenty of water about 1-2 hours before the procedure is recommended.
  12. 12Movement and exercise are recommended as soon as possible after each Prolotherapy injection.
  13. 13Massage therapy should be avoided for three days after a treatment.
