  1. 1A referral from your primary care provider (doctor or Nurse Practitioner) is required to be seen in one of our clinics.
  2. 2If you do not have a primary care provider, please contact the clinic for more information (Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Western Kings Memorial Health Centre).
  3. 3To use VirtualCareNS, you need to have a valid Nova Scotia health card number, be able to access the internet through a computer or mobile device, have an e-mail address, and be located within the province when accessing VirtualCareNS.
  4. 4If you are requesting a visit for a child or a dependent, they need to be at the virtual visit.
  5. 5If you do not have a primary care provider and are not on the Need a Family Practice Registry, you can register online or by calling 811.
  6. 6If you have used Maple as a paid customer in the past, you will need to convert your account to a VirtualCareNS account.
  7. 7Children aged 15 and younger should be registered as dependents on their guardian’s account.
  8. 8Dependents must be able to attend any visits you request for them.
