  1. 1Patients and visitors will receive a validation ticket to leave gated lots at QEII without paying. Tickets will be available at information desks and registration kiosks. Where kiosk registration isn’t necessary, rebate tickets will be given out by clerical staff in their respective clinics. At the QEII emergency departments, validation tickets will be provided to patients and visitors by security personnel.
  2. 2Patients and families who are mobile and need transportation between the Victoria General (VG) and Halifax Infirmary (HI) sites are welcome to take the QEII shuttle.
  3. 3A referral from your family doctor to Nephrology is required to access this Renal Clinic.
  4. 4You can refer yourself or you can be referred by a health care provider for the Chronic Pain Self-Management Program. In either case, you must call to activate your referral and express interest before you start the program.
  5. 5A referral from your primary care provider (doctor or Nurse Practitioner) is required to be seen in one of our Chronic Pain Services clinics.
  6. 6You need a referral from your family doctor to access the Colposcopy Clinic.
  7. 7A physician referral is required and appointments are booked in advance for Echocardiogram.
  8. 8A referral is required through the Renal Program for Facility Dialysis Units.
  9. 9A referral is required through the Renal Programs in Halifax, Yarmouth and Sydney for Home Dialysis Unit.
