Patient Instructions
  1. 1Fill out New Patient form ahead of your visit.
  2. 2Practice good oral hygiene: brush at least twice a day with ADA approved fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, brush or use a tongue scraper, replace toothbrush every 2-3 months.
  3. 3See your dentist regularly for check-ups and cleanings (at least twice a year).
  4. 4Stop smoking/chewing tobacco.
  5. 5Drink water frequently.
  6. 6Use mouthwash/rinses as recommended by dentist.
  7. 7Avoid chewing on ice cubes, hard candy, popcorn kernels, or any hard or sticky foods after sealant treatment.
  8. 8If a tooth is knocked out: handle by crown only, do not scrub, rinse gently with saliva/whole milk/water, get to dentist within 30 minutes, try to replace in socket or transport in saliva/whole milk/under tongue/between lip and gums, do not transport in tissue/cloth.
