  3. 3For bone density scan: avoid vitamin D and calcium for 2 days before; inform clinic of any nuclear scans or barium tests in last two weeks; wear comfortable clothes with no zippers, snaps, buttons or any metal around abdomen or pelvic areas; inform doctor/technologist if pregnant.
  4. 4For X-ray: inform doctor/technologist if pregnant; may be asked to change into a gown or remove clothing/jewelry in area to be examined.
  5. 5Referrals are required for all imaging exams.
  6. 6Appointments are required for mammography, bone density scans, and ultrasound. General X-rays are available on a walk-in basis.
  7. 7If not canceled within 48h, a missed appointment may result in a $30 charge added to your file.
