  2. 2If unwell, call your Family Doctor first.
  3. 3Visit a walk-in clinic for minor illnesses and injuries.
  4. 4For virtual appointments, ensure your medical condition is non-life-threatening, you have a valid OHIP card, and are six months of age or older.
  5. 5For mental health or crisis services, call 24/7 Crisis Support Peel Dufferin (18+) or Dufferin Child and Family Services (under 18).
  6. 6For lab tests, if your doctor has given you a requisition, have them done at a lab in the community.
  7. 7For surgical services, on the day of scheduled surgery, proceed inside the entrance for Ambulatory Care on the east side of the hospital.
  8. 8For surgical services, ensure your Ontario Health Card is readily available.
  9. 9For surgical services, Day Surgery patients are not permitted to drive home and MUST have someone available to stay with them overnight after receiving an anesthetic.
  10. 10For surgical services, Day Surgery patients must ensure the person driving them home remains in the hospital during their procedure.
