  1. 1Performing regular skin checks on yourself is an easy way for you to detect early skin cancers. Try looking once per month to get a sense of what your skin is doing.
  2. 2Broad spectrum sunscreen SPF 30 or higher is what Health Canada Recommends.
  3. 3Avoid the sun in peak hours (11-3), wear a hat and put on sunscreen.
  4. 4Roughly a shot glass is needed to cover the average body.
  5. 5Reapply sunscreen every 80 minutes or after swimming or sweating.
  6. 6For confidentiality reasons any medical or dermatology questions will not be answered by email. For any other questions, please make an appointment to discuss with your doctor or if you have an emergency go to the nearest ER.
