Patient Instructions

  2. 2Disclose any allergies, medical conditions, and/or prescription medication to your treatment specialist.
  3. 3Drink plenty of water two hours before and after exercise, massage or body treatments.
  4. 4Turn off cell phones and pagers while in treatment.
  5. 5Communicate with your Health Practitioner regarding your treatment during the treatment.
  6. 6Do not eat a large meal immediately before or after acupuncture treatment.
  7. 7Do not over-exercise, engage in sexual activity, or consume alcohol for 6 hours before or after acupuncture treatment.
  8. 8Plan activities to get some rest after acupuncture treatment.
  9. 9Continue to take any prescription medicines as directed by your doctor for acupuncture treatment.
  10. 10Keep good notes of your response to acupuncture treatment.
