  1. 1Do NOT accept walk-ins. Must register for an appointment.
  2. 2For medical emergencies, proceed to the nearest Emergency Department or call 911.
  3. 3For urgent concerns (same-day assessment), call the clinic at 8:00 am Monday to Friday.
  4. 4For less urgent concerns (can wait 1-2 days), email name and phone number to urgentappointments@colwoodfamilypractice.com.
  5. 5Emailing does not guarantee an appointment.
  6. 6Provide a minimum of 2 hours’ notice for cancellations by phoning or emailing.
  7. 7Short notice cancellations or “no shows” will be subject to a $45 fee.
  8. 8Bring a valid BC healthcare number for MSP-covered visits.
  9. 9Be understanding of demands on primary care.
  10. 10Plan ahead for prescription renewals and routine follow-ups.
  11. 11Be kind to resident and locum physicians.
