Referral Process: Referrals are preferred if other physicians have already been exploring the issue, particularly if investigative imaging (CT, MRI, x-ray) or other treatment options have been explored within the past two years. Rheumatologists, Orthopedic Surgeons and Pediatric Sport Medicine physicians see patients by referral only. Chiropractor and Dietician do not require referrals.
How to Refer: Patients can be referred by their family physician or healthcare provider on a consultative basis. Faxing prescription refill requests from pharmacies is also mentioned.
