  3. 3Bring Manitoba Health card, identification, private insurance cards, social insurance number (SIN card), pen to complete forms
  4. 4Bring personal toiletries: Shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, towels, hairbrush, hair dryer, lotion, hair ties, extra glasses/contact lenses
  5. 5Bring comfortable clothes: Robe, slippers, underwear, nursing bras, pajamas, tank top, socks, leggings, or sweatpants
  6. 6Bring tablet, headphones, chargers, books, snacks, and drinks
  7. 7Bring approved infant car seat
  8. 8Bring clothes in different sizes for baby
  9. 9Bring baby wipes, sleepers, blanket, diapers, hats, socks
  10. 10Respect fasting instructions before surgery: No solid food or alcohol after midnight the night before your surgery. Clear fluids up until 2 hours before arrival.
  11. 11Continue with your medications as ordered by your surgeon or anesthesiologist on the morning of your surgery with a sip of water.
  12. 12Arrange for a ride home after your surgery; not permitted to drive for 24 hours.
  13. 13Arrive at the hospital 2 hours prior to your surgery time.
  14. 14Remember your case number for surgery tracking.
  15. 15Walk safely: Your baby must be placed in a bassinette if you are walking in the hallways outside of your room to prevent falls.
