  2. 2Appointments are required for blood collection service. Book online or by calling toll-free 1-833-998-2722 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).
  3. 3A referral (requisition) from your primary care provider and an appointment are required for an x-ray.
  4. 4For VirtualCareNS, you need a valid Nova Scotia health card number, internet access, an e-mail address, and must be located within the province when accessing the service.
  5. 5If requesting a visit for a child or dependent, they need to be at the virtual visit.
  6. 6If you do not have a primary care provider and are not on the Need a Family Practice Registry, you can register online or by calling 811.
  7. 7If you have used Maple as a paid customer in the past, you will need to convert your account to a VirtualCareNS account by contacting Maple support.
  8. 8People aged 16 and older must create their own VirtualCareNS account, unless legally considered not able to make independent medical decisions.
  9. 9Children aged 15 and younger should be registered as dependents on their guardian’s account, and must be able to attend any visits requested for them.
