Patient Instructions:

Arrive 10 minutes prior to appointment for registration (Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Density).
For Abdominal Ultrasound: Nothing to eat or drink for 8 hours before examination (except necessary medications).
For Obstetrical or Pelvic Ultrasound: Finish drinking 40 fluid ounces or 1 Litre of water 1 hour before examination; do not void.
For Combination Pelvic and Abdominal Ultrasound: Nothing to eat for 8 hours but complete drinking 40 ounces or 1 Litre of water 1 hour before examination; do not void.
For BMD exam: 48 hours prior to test, do not take calcium supplements, Vitamin D, multivitamins or iron tablets until after the examination.
For Mammogram: Do not wear any powder, deodorant, lotion or perfume on the breast and underarm area.
Bring a valid health card and requisition form signed by the referring physician.
Provide at least 24 hours' notice if cancelling or rescheduling an appointment to avoid a no-show fee.
