Orcas Island Physical Therapy

• Call your insurance company to verify benefits for outpatient physical therapy and confirm in-network status.
• If out of network, ask about out-of-network benefits.
• If you have a doctor’s referral, call to schedule an appointment.
• If your insurance does not require a referral, simply call for an appointment.
• If paying cash, call for an appointment.
• Complete and return paperwork prior to first visit or bring it with you.
• Bring your referral (if needed), insurance card or L&I claim form, and pertinent paperwork/notes from physician/hospital to first visit.
• Wear appropriate clothing for access to the body part receiving therapy (e.g., shorts, sports bra, t-shirt).
• Provide 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations to avoid a $50 fee (excluding Saturday and Sunday).
• Always call the front desk to cancel an appointment; do not leave a voicemail on a therapist’s extension.
• Arrive 10-15 minutes early for the first appointment to fill out required paperwork.
• Bring all medical insurance cards (primary, supplementary, tertiary).
• Bring a list of current prescription medications (no dosages).
• If sick, call the front desk as soon as possible to cancel.

OIPT is just past the Island Primary Care Orcas Medical Center on Deye Lane, directly east of Buck Park. Turn onto Deye Lane from Mt. Baker Road and keep the Medical Center directly on your left; the clinic's driveway looks like the left fork of Deye Lane. It is just down a slight hill, the only building on the road.
