Patient Instructions:
  • Receive your lab requisition from a healthcare provider.
  • Book your appointment online or by phone and submit your lab requisition.
  • Payment will be collected at your mobile visit if not paid online.
  • Present laboratory requisition, valid personal health card, and government issued identification at appointment.
  • For fasting blood work, do not eat or drink for a minimum of 10 hours to a maximum of 14 hours.
  • Be familiar with urine collection procedure and required volume prior to appointment.
  • Blood collections occur in a seated position; advise staff if you have a history of fainting.
  • Apply firm pressure to the puncture site after blood collection and leave bandage for 10-15 minutes.
  • Do not subject the site to pressure and protect the arm from exertion for several hours after blood collection.
  • If bruising occurs, place an ice pack or cold compress to the affected area for about 20 minutes, a few times during the first 24 hours.
