Referrals to Anscomb from Duncan, Central & North Island are accepted from physicians and mental health clinicians.

Urgency Levels: Urgent admissions for Special Care Unit (SCU) are for florid psychosis, active mania, suicidal with previous serious suicide attempts, or requiring intensive 24-hour monitoring. Planned admissions for Children's and Youth Units require a secure placement and community discharge plan in place.
