• Make aware of any medical conditions, allergies, and medication (prescribed, OTC, vitamins).
• Make aware of any history/active cold sores or other active infections.
• Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to appointment.
• Avoid NSAIDs/blood thinners for at least 7 days prior to appointment (discuss with primary care provider or clinic before discontinuing if prescribed).
• Avoid vitamin E, omega 3s, ginkgo biloba, and ginseng for 7 days prior to treatment.
• Come to appointment with a clean, makeup-free face.
• Be well hydrated for at least 2 days before appointment.
• Hydrate well (at least 2-3 litres of water a day) post-treatment.
• Avoid makeup for 24 hours post-treatment.
• Avoid touching face, specifically the treated area post-treatment.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol post-treatment.
• Avoid NSAIDs (ibuprofen, ASA, Motrin, Advil) for up to 7 days post-treatment.
• Use sunscreen regularly post-treatment.
• Screen for COVID-19 symptoms 24 hours prior to appointment using Shared Health Manitoba screening tool.
• Reschedule if screening positive for any symptoms or travelled outside province within 14 days.
• Reschedule if in contact with anyone with COVID-19 symptoms and/or awaiting test results (at least 24 hours before appointment).
• Arrive no more than 10 minutes before appointment.
• Must have an appointment to enter; no walk-in appointments.
• Wearing a mask into the studio is mandatory.
• Sanitize hands upon entry.
• Come to appointment alone.
• A COVID-19 informed consent form is required to be signed prior to treatment.
