Apply an antibiotic ointment (e.g., PolysporinMC). Wear comfortable shoes with a wide toe box or open-toed sandals.
2. 2For athlete's foot: Wash feet daily. Keep feet dry by changing socks as needed. Dry feet thoroughly after showering, especially between the toes. Wear adequate shoes. If using instruments like nail clippers or files, disinfect them before and after each use. Do not share personal instruments with family members. Avoid walking barefoot in public places.
3. 3For diabetic foot care: Adopt healthy lifestyle habits. Wash feet daily and dry them between the toes. Examine feet daily using a mirror if needed. Check bath water temperature with your elbow. If using instruments like nail clippers or files, disinfect them before and after each use. Do not share personal instruments with family members. Avoid using pharmaceutical products without a prescription. Avoid wearing inadequate shoes like very high heels. Avoid putting on shoes without checking for foreign objects inside.
4. 4For plantar fasciitis: Wear well-structured shoes. Regularly massage and stretch your plantar fascia and calf. Wear your orthotics if you have them. Be careful when exercising and wear adequate shoes. Apply ice. If pain is severe, take anti-inflammatories (e.g., Advil) if your health allows. Avoid walking barefoot.
