• Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled treatment time.
• Leave jewellery and valuables at home if possible.
• Update your hyperbaric team of any changes in your health before entering the chamber.
• Notify hyperbaric team if you have any new bandages or medical appliances since your last treatment.
• Eat a meal before arriving to your appointment.
• Avoid coffee and any diuretics before your appointment.
• Use the washroom before entering the chamber.
• Wear loose-fitting clothing that you can easily change in and out of.
• Do not smoke prior to or immediately after your treatment.
• Don’t wear makeup, skin-care products or hair products.
• Do not wear jewellery inside the chamber.
• Don’t ignore any discomfort, clearly communicate to your technician if you feel anxious.
• Do not bring a cellphone or any electronics into the chamber.
• Don’t skip treatments if possible.
• Diabetics: closely monitor blood sugar, eat a meal prior to treatment, discuss medication modification with referring and hyperbaric physician, notify team of hypoglycemia symptoms.
• All patients will be provided with 100% cotton scrubs to be changed into before entering the chamber.
