Patient Instructions:
  • Proceed immediately to the Emergency Department for emergency patients.
  • Proceed immediately to the Family Birth Center for mothers in labor.
  • Proceed directly from the 5th Street entrance to the Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging department on the second floor for X-ray patients.
  • Proceed directly to Surgery on the second floor of the Firstenburg Tower for scheduled procedures, including surgery (exceptions apply).
  • For heart surgery, proceed directly to the Heart & Vascular Center on the first floor of the Firstenburg Tower.
  • For eye, dental, and urology surgeries, proceed directly to Short Stay Unit, second floor of the Mother Joseph Building.
  • Bring identification, your insurance card, and any other information requested by your physician or during the pre-registration process.
  • Leave jewelry and valuables at home; if brought, request them to be locked in the medical center safe.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the grounds; nicotine patches or other aids are available if needed.
  • Patients who are well prepared for surgery usually recover faster; call PAS at 514-4821 if scheduled for surgery.
  • Interpreter services are available at no charge for the deaf and hard of hearing and for those who do not speak English.
  • Patients are protected from surprise billing or balance billing when getting emergency care or treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center.
  • Sharing wishes for critical illness care can bring you closer to loved ones; make wishes known in advance.

The Emergency Department is located off Mill Plain Blvd. The Gift Shop is located at the 92nd Avenue entrance. Outpatient diagnostic imaging is on the second floor, accessible from the 5th Street entrance. Scheduled procedures and surgery are on the second floor of the Firstenburg Tower. Heart surgery is on the first floor of the Firstenburg Tower. Eye, dental, and urology surgeries are on the second floor of the Mother Joseph Building.
