  • Inform MRI scheduling representative if you have a pacemaker, metal fragments, or certain implants.
  • Wear normal street clothes without metal for MRI; remove jewelry, glasses, dentures, loose change, wallets, bank/credit cards, wigs.
  • Continue prescribed medications for MRI; take pain medication if needed.
  • For MRI, be prepared for loud knocking/buzzing noises and wear earplugs.
  • If claustrophobic for MRI, inform technician; medication can be provided, requiring a driver.
  • For High School Sports Injury Clinic, students under 18 should be accompanied by parent/legal guardian or athletic trainer, or have a signed note/Authorization to Treat form.
