Patient Age Range:Female Identified Youth ages 13 – 18; Adults 19 years and older; Children newborn to age 4 for daycare, multi-aged children up to age 8 for daycare.
Best Fit Patients:First Nations and Inuit youth, families, and communities seeking holistic healing in a safe and secure environment.
Patient Instructions:
  • All school age children are required to bring 7 weeks of school work with them.
  • Families must provide grocery funds for breakfast and weekend meals.
  • Families will need to bring groceries to start off with, or if they have been traveling by plane you then may be taken shopping after arrival.
  • Families will need to bring money for grocery shopping which is normally done on the weekends.
  • Adults should fill out the FADP Intake – Adult Application.
  • Children require the FADP Intake – Dependant – 2016 Application.
  • Applications are requested at least 25 days prior to the intake date in order to ensure completion of all required paperwork.
  • Please submit a partial application by the requested date so we can work with you and the community member to complete the process.
  • The application process includes the application form, a full medical, Tuberculosis screen, and a phone interview with each applicant.
  • Anyone entering the Youth Program /Family Program / Men’s Program needs to be free of alcohol and drugs for 14 days. Longer if possible is highly recommended.
  • If you arrive at Nenqayni Wellness Centre intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances or drugs not prescribed by your doctor you may be asked to leave.
  • You should also be participating in regular counselling sessions and be prepared to attend treatment with no outside commitments (appointments, court dates, other events).
Physical Directions:

Located 20 minutes north of Williams Lake, British Columbia, on the Deep Creek Reserve, part of X’atsull First Nation (Secwepemc Nation). It is 21 kilometers north of Williams Lake on Highway 97 North, to the right on a corner after Bull Mountain to the left. There is a Nenqayni sign at the top of the turn off, and the centre is about 1.5 kms down the road.

How to Refer: Clients can be referred by a recognized Alcohol and Drug Abuse counsellor, Mental Health counsellor, or a Family counsellor any kind of counsellors etc. School Teacher, Family Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, they also self refer at times.
