Instructions

  1. For skin prick testing, remain off antihistamines for at least 5-7 days prior to testing.
  2. For food challenges, allow 4-5 hours in clinic and remain off antihistamines for at least 5-7 days prior to testing. Avoid the food in question for an additional 24 hours after completion.
  3. For patch testing, remain off oral steroids or topical steroids for at least 7-14 days prior to placement if possible. Do not remove the patch for 48 hours and avoid contact with water.
