Instructions

  1. For skin prick test, stop oral antihistamines one week before, Benadryl and certain cold medications three days before, and antihistamine nasal sprays/allergy eye drops two days before.
  2. For patch test, stop oral steroids two weeks before, and stop applying lotions/topical steroids to the test area one day before. Shave back with electric razor if hairy.
  3. For food challenge, stop Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra, Clarinex, Xyzal five days before, and any other antihistamine three days before. Come in good health and bring challenge food.
