Instructions
- For skin prick test, stop oral antihistamines one week before, Benadryl and certain cold medications three days before, and antihistamine nasal sprays/allergy eye drops two days before.
- For patch test, stop oral steroids two weeks before, and stop applying lotions/topical steroids to the test area one day before. Shave back with electric razor if hairy.
- For food challenge, stop Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra, Clarinex, Xyzal five days before, and any other antihistamine three days before. Come in good health and bring challenge food.
