Referral Information for B C Adult Mental Health Center
Referral Process: Mental Health will accept any referral, and will call the client to set up intake interview. Everyone goes through an intake and is then directed to appropriate next step. Those offered short-term therapy at the Centre have an acute Mental Illness, are good therapy candidates, agreeable and able to attend. Those not offered short-term therapy at our Centre will be directed to the appropriate resources or referrals. Can provide Psychiatric Consult if indicated/appropriate. Mental Health intake can also assist with urgent response in the community. Please call the MH Intake Clinician if you are needing a consult around an urgent patient.
How to Refer: Referrals can be made by self, physician, specialist, health professional, school personnel, or Ministry of Children & Family Development. Call the MH Intake Clinician for urgent patient consults.
