Research Involvement

Radiation Oncology Associates is active in radiation oncology research, with a number of patient protocols on the national level with the NCI-funded RTOG (Radiation Therapy Oncology Group), NRG Oncology (merged NSABP, RTOG and GOG) as well as locally with the Inova Health System. Notable research protocols include intraoperative radiation therapy for breast cancer, stereotactic accelerated partial breast irradiation, and stereotactic body radiation therapy for prostate cancer. The group is also an integral member of the Inova Research Oversight Committee.
