Cook Children's Medical Center provides comprehensive medical care designed specifically for children, from infants through their teen years.

Instructions

  1. For glucose tolerance tests, patients should not eat or drink anything other than water after 10pm the night before and arrive 15 minutes early for registration.
  2. For sweat chloride tests, patients should drink a lot of fluids for at least 8 hours before the procedure, eat regular meals, and not use creams or lotions on the skin for 24 hours prior. Arrive 15 minutes early for registration.
  3. Bring required requisition, ID, and insurance/Medicaid card for lab services.

Getting Here

  1. Emergency room visits: Look for the red awning on the east side of the medical center.
  2. Park directly across the street, in the lot at the southeast corner of 6th and Terrell.
  3. Medical center visits: Located at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Cooper Street.
