The center has a barrier-free path of travel into and through the building, with no steps at the main entrance. All doorways are wide enough to accommodate a variety of wheelchairs and mobility aids. Exterior doors are powered to open when activated by a pushbutton. Accessible washrooms are located on each floor. Accessible seating is provided in the center’s public spaces.

Accreditations
The Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (CCAP) program is accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). The Master of Psychotherapy (MP) and Master of Relational and Family Therapy (MRFT) programs are recognized education, training, and clinical experience programs with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). The MRFT is provisionally accredited by the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT).
Research Involvement
The Child Emotion and Mental Health Lab at the University of Guelph is examining the efficacy of an Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) program called “Families and Feelings First.â€
Parking Information
The nearest parking lot is Lot P29, which is the first left off Smith Lane, directly beside the entrance. P29 includes accessible parking spots and Loading/Drop Off spaces (20 minutes max) in front of the Smith Lane entrance. Designated Maplewoods Centre PayByPhone parking spots (2 hours maximum) are available in P29 at $2.50 per hour, plus a $0.35 transaction fee. Paid parking is required Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Additional parking is available across Smith Lane in Lot P30 (first right off Smith Lane), requiring parking registration. After 4 pm, parking is free in P29 and P30.
