Patient Instructions
  1. 1Arrive approximately 10 minutes before your appointment time.
  2. 2Contact the clinic if considerably unwell to reschedule.
  3. 3Provide 24 hours notice for appointment cancellation to avoid a $75 no-show fee.
  4. 4For Obstetrical, Pelvic, and Renal ultrasounds: Empty bladder 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to exam, then immediately drink 1 litre of water within 30 minutes. Do not empty bladder until after exam.
  5. 5For Aorta and Abdomen ultrasounds: Fast (nothing to eat or drink) past midnight. Necessary medication may be taken with a small amount of water. No chewing gum, candy, smoking, coffee, etc.
  6. 6For X-rays: Bring your x-ray requisition from your physician. Come alone. No specific dietary preparations. Avoid wearing jewelry or clothing with metallic items. You may be asked to remove some articles of clothing and put on a paper gown.
