Instructions
- For CT exam, wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing without metal objects. Remove hairpins, jewelry, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and removable dental work. You may need to fast for an hour or longer. Inform doctor/technologist if pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform technologist if diagnosed with renal failure.
- For MRI, inform staff about any metal objects or medical conditions. Pregnant women should inform the technologist. Inform technologist if diagnosed with renal failure.
- For MRA, inform staff about pacemakers, defibrillators, infusion catheters, IUDs, metal plates, pins, screws, surgical staples, bullets or shrapnel, or if you've worked with metal. You may need an x-ray to find metal fragments. Inform about drug allergies and previous surgeries. Inform technologist if diagnosed with renal failure.
