The Connecticut Mental Health Center is an urban community mental health center in New Haven, CT, serving over 4,000 individuals annually with serious mental illness and/or addiction. It is a partnership between DHMAS and the Yale Department of Psychiatry, nationally recognized for scientific research and a major training site for mental health professionals.
Individuals with serious mental illness and/or addiction, particularly those from Catchment Area 7 with severe and prolonged mental illness, who are poor and without the means to access care elsewhere.
Greater New Haven area, specifically Catchment Areas 5, 6, 7, and 8. The Hispanic Clinic, Substance Abuse Treatment Unit (SATU), and ForDD Clinic treat individuals from additional catchment areas. The West Haven Mental Clinic offers services to children from Catchment Area 6 and young adults from throughout the Greater New Haven area.
