Patient and Visitor Experience for StL Diagnostic Imaging

Patient Profile:Patients of all ages, especially the elderly, benefit from X-ray imaging, Ultrasound imaging, and Mobile diagnostic services, among other specialized services.
Patient Instructions
  1. 1For Abdomen ultrasound: Modified diet on the day of the exam containing NO MEAT NO FAT NO DAIRY. Clear fluids only to be served with meals. Medication can be taken as required.
  2. 2For Abdomen and Pelvis ultrasound: Restricted diet (see above) with the addition of a full bladder. Please drink 1L of water prior to the technologist's arrival. DO NOT Void until the technologist instructs to do so.
  3. 3For Pelvis ultrasound: Please drink 1L of water one hour prior to the exam for PRE and POST void studies.
  4. 4For all other ultrasound exams: No preparation is required.
  5. 5For private home orders, a family member or friend must remain onsite while we are visiting.
