  5. 5If taking blood thinners, follow instructions for stopping them before an endoscopy. Continue other medications unless advised otherwise.
  6. 6Stop iron supplements 7 days before a colonoscopy.
  7. 7Stop fiber supplements (e.g., Metamucil) 3 days before a colonoscopy.
