Instructions

  1. For CT exam, wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing without metal objects. Remove hairpins, jewelry, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and removable dental work. You may need to fast for an hour or longer. Inform doctor/technologist if pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform technologist if diagnosed with renal failure.
  2. For MRI, inform staff about any metal objects or medical conditions. Pregnant women should inform technologist. Inform technologist if diagnosed with renal failure.
  3. For MRA, inform staff about any metal objects, medical conditions, drug allergies, or previous surgeries. You may need an x-ray to find metal fragments. Inform technologist if diagnosed with renal failure.
