Research Involvement

Dr. Heier is a leading retinal clinical researcher for new treatments in exudative and non-exudative macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, venous occlusive disease, vitreoretinal surgical techniques and instrumentation, and diagnostic imaging of the retina. He is the lead investigator on numerous clinical trials. Dr. Raizman has participated in dozens of clinical trials. Dr. Rapoza has conducted studies on radial and astigmatic keratotomy, photorefractive keratectomy, LASIK, corneal transplantation and cataract surgery and participated in numerous clinical trials for ophthalmic pharmaceutical agents.
