Instructions

  1. For oral food challenges, bring tablets, books, and other engaging activities. Bring your child's favorite cups, plates, and utensils. Be in good health on the day of the test. Stop intranasal and oral antihistamines a few days before. Do not stop asthma or topical eczema medications. Avoid scheduling OFCs during times of year where seasonal allergies are poorly controlled. Bring your epinephrine autoinjector for the car ride home. Have a light meal or no meal prior to the challenge. If bringing food, ensure it's not processed in a shared facility or on a shared line with something else you’re allergic to. Have food options in both liquid and solid forms along with tasty mixers and condiments. Do not pre-mix food unless instructed.

  1. For the Galbraith Road Office, enter through the doors on the left side of the building with the sign “Kidney Care Center” on top.
  2. The stairs and elevator to the 2nd floor are located just inside this entrance.
