Patients seeking outpatient orthopedic surgery for joint pain, including knee, shoulder, ankle, and hip procedures.

Instructions

  1. Do NOT eat or drink anything 6 hours prior to arrival time to the surgery center.
  2. Follow the nurse’s instructions on which medications should be taken the morning of surgery with a small sip of water.
  3. Consult with your surgeon and physician regarding stopping any blood thinners (Coumadin, Plavix, Aspirin, etc) as these products may need to be stopped 5-7 days prior to surgery.
