Instructions

  1. For CT Scan: Do not eat or drink for 4 hours before exam. Call for preparation instructions if having an abdomen or pelvis CT scan.
  2. For Ultrasound: Wear loose, comfortable clothing, no jewelry. For abdominal ultrasound, do not eat or drink 3 to 4 hours prior. For trans abdominal pelvic study, drink 32 ounces of water 1 hour prior and do not empty bladder.
  3. For X-Ray: No extensive preparation necessary, may be asked to change into a gown and remove metal items.
