  1. 1Avoid self-tanners, sunbathing and tanning for at least 2 weeks before IPL treatment.
  2. 2Avoid waxing, chemical peels, or cosmetic injections for 1 week before IPL treatment.
  3. 3Stop taking antibiotics for at least 1 week before IPL treatment.
  4. 4Do not wear lotions the day of IPL treatment.
  5. 5For 5 days prior to IPL treatment avoid Aspirin, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, Omega 3/Fish Oil Supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and other NSAIDS and photo-sensitive antibiotics.
