Patients requiring medical imaging services including MRI, X-ray, mammography, bone density, and ultrasound with a physician referral.

Instructions

  1. You will need a referral from your doctor or specialist to book an ultrasound appointment.
  2. Your partner will be asked to wait in the waiting area until the prenatal ultrasound examination has been completed. The partner will be brought in at the end of the scan to see the baby. Partner only please, no other family members or children.
  3. Refrain from using any type of recording device during the prenatal scan.

Accreditations

Radiologists are clinical faculty members of the UBC Faculty of Medicine and serve as diagnostic imaging staff at Lions Gate Hospital, Sea-to-Sky corridor and Sunshine Coast. Several radiologists are accredited screeners with the Screening Mammography Program of BC. X-ray and MRI technologists are certified with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Ultrasound technologists are certified with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Sonography Canada (CARDUP). Nuchal translucency ultrasound technologists and radiologists are certified by the Fetal Medicine Foundation and the clinic is an accredited site for the BC Prenatal Genetic Screening Program.
