  2. It is essential to discuss all medications, as well as any supplements or herbs you take, with your primary care provider in relation to your surgery. Make sure to ask if you should stop taking them, when to stop, and when it is safe to resume them.
  3. Communicate any allergies or past challenges you have experienced with anesthesia to the anesthesia personnel.
