  3. For bone density scan: avoid vitamin D and calcium for 2 days before; inform clinic of any nuclear scans or barium tests in last two weeks; wear comfortable clothes with no zippers, snaps, buttons or any metal around abdomen or pelvic areas; inform doctor/technologist if pregnant.
