Instructions

  1. For CT Imaging Examinations, patients should have nothing to eat for 4 hours prior, only clear liquids. Take medications with clear liquids. If dispensed oral contrast, drink 2 hours prior to appointment. If not, arrive in Radiology 2 hours prior.
  2. For CT Examination of Head/Neck/Chest – with Contrast only, nothing to eat or drink for 4 hours prior. Take all medications as directed.
  3. For CT Examination of Pelvis – With or Without Contrast, nothing to eat or drink for 4 hours prior. Drink first bottle of contrast 2 hours prior; second bottle 60 minutes prior. Take all medications as directed.
