Instructions

  1. Women age 40 and older should have a screening mammogram every year.
  2. Women in their 20s and 30s should have a clinical breast exam (CBE) as part of a regular exam by a health expert at least every 3 years.
  3. After age 40, women should have a breast exam by a health expert every year.

Research Involvement

Windsong is involved in clinical research and trials, including a Photo Acoustic Breast Imaging Study with the University at Buffalo (UB) and a Microbiome Breast Ecology Study (now closed). They also support the Prompt Research Study and Just Ask Research Study facilitated through the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers / American College of Surgeons. Other research includes evaluation of mammography compression and development of biomarkers in urine for breast cancer.
