Instructions
- Stop wearing contacts two weeks before your preoperative appointment for cataract surgery.
- Use artificial tear drops like Systane, Refresh, or TheraTears four times daily for one to two weeks prior to your preoperative appointment for cataract surgery.
- For the first week after cataract surgery, sleep with an eye shield at night, do no lifting over ten pounds, wear no eye makeup, and do no vigorous exercise.
