Patients requiring pre-operative assessment and testing for scheduled surgeries to ensure readiness and prevent delays.

Instructions

  1. Bring forms (Pre-Registration Form, Patient Questionnaire from Department of Anesthesia) filled in prior to appointment.
  2. Bring a list of all medications you are taking.
  3. Bring your OHIP Health Card and all other insurance information.

Getting Here

  1. The Pre-Op Clinic is located on Level 0, in the Medical Outpatient Department at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton – West 5th Campus.
  2. It is recommended to park in the designated Patient Parking Lots 1 and 2 and proceed to the Medical Outpatient Entrance - level 0.
  3. If Parking Lots 1 and 2 are full, park in Lots 3 or 4 and proceed to the West 5th Street entrance and take the stairs or elevator to the Medical Outpatient Department - level 0.

Research areas include Artificial Intelligence in Robotic Surgery, Infra-Red Technology for Lung Cancer, Economic Effectiveness of Robotic Surgery, Patient Outcomes & Satisfaction, and Gait Analysis after Robotic Joint Replacements. Research projects in the Boris Family Centre for Robotic Surgery include Thoracic Surgery Research, Head & Neck Surgery Research, Urology Surgery Research, and Orthopaedic Robotic Surgery Research.

Parking Information

Designated Patient Parking Lots 1 and 2 at West 5th Campus. If full, Lots 3 or 4 are available. Premium parking is located at the front of the Charlton Campus building, off Charlton Ave. Regular parking is off James St. S., on the south side of the Charlton Campus hospital.
