Research Involvement

Dr. Horizon is an active investigator involved with more than 25 ongoing clinical trials for additional possible treatments of Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis and Fibromyalgia. Dr. Karayev continues to research many different areas of rheumatology and autoimmunity. Dr. Kretzmann has research experience through UCLA in the immunogenicity of anti-tumor necrosis factor agents. He also has experience with the correlation of extra-articular manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis with citrullinated protein antibodies. He has participated in clinical studies at the Center For Rheumatology. Dr. Lee has extensive experience and interest in clinical trials, as he has been the principal investigator in over 12 clinical trials. Dr. Tran has research experience in cardiovascular health in ankylosing spondylitis, and also studied cardiac arrhythmia in patients with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and Sjogren’s disease. Dr. Wang has had research experience in Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Psoriatic Arthritis and participates in clinical studies at the Center for Rheumatology. Dr. Weidmann has participated as Primary Investigator in multiple rheumatologic clinical studies, particularly numerous biologic medications.
